Grade description (technical requirements) of ASTM
1. AREA 4-1.4  in 1991 class 2 (ASTM 1183 Class2)
  ①Tensile strength (PSI)≥760MPa
  ②Yield strength≥552MPa
  ③Elongation2"≥12%
  ④Reduction of cross section≥25%
⑤Requirements of cold blending: 45°, no cracking. Diameter of blending core= diameter of screw
  ⑥Raw material: 35#, 45#, 20MnTiB, etc

2. AREA 1991 standard   Strength Grade:SAE J429 Class 5
①1/4"~1"  Tensile strength (PSI)≥828Mpa, Yield strength≥635MPa;
②>1"~1-1/2" Tensile strength (PSI)≥725Mpa, Yield strength≥559MPa;
③Elongation2"≥14%
④Reduction of cross section≥35%
⑤Requirements of cold blending: 45°, no cracking. 
Diameter of blending core= diameter of screw
⑥Surface hardness: HRC: size of 1/4~1"≤34;  size of >1"~1-1/2"≤30;
⑦Core hardness: HRC: size of 1/4~1": 25~34;  size of >1"~1-1/2"≤30 
(no requirements with the minimum hardness when examination);
⑧Raw material: 45#, 20MnTiB, 40Cr, etc
